"The city wanted it removed to extend the parking lot next door. There was a notice to area residents that it would be removed by the city. On the day it was supposed to be removed, a local lady tied herself to the warf and refused to leave. The city backed down and since then, there have been engineered plans to rebuild the twine store but it came to a stand still as the health of the family member rebuilding it became bad. Its been sitting ever since."
