A night view of the dense cluster of office buildings, hotels, and restaurants packed into the downtown St. John's core. The lights reflecting in the water make this scene extra vibrant. The two things that stand out the most are the historic 1846 Murray Premises dead centre peeking out amidst the more modern buildings, and the empty inside view of the harbour security fence. The fence was built for large vessels that require a secure area to dock, but blocks the view of the harbour from the streetside. It is only sometimes used for security reasons, but always is inaccessible to the public. Happy to offer you a glimpse of it here.
