About the artist:
Ms Elena Sizova received her art education through years of studying fine art in Ukraine and Russia at the St,Petersburg Institute of Architecture. She continued developing her art skills in United States, studying portraiture with late brilliant artist Julian Gilbert.
Ms Sizova worked as an art instructor at Fine Art Studio in Chicago, Studio 34 in Glenview and Art & Soul Studio Arlington Hts, IL USA.
At that time she was also studying still life and figurative painting with Diane Rath and at the workshops of Romel De La Torre.
Elena has a diploma in Fine Art History from the Donbass Academy of Architecture, Ukraine and a diploma in Fine Art from the Art School of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
She has been showing her works at the Polish Museum of America, Juried Art Shows and Festivals in Des Plaines, Elk Grove, Lakeside Cultural Center, at the Art Gallery Studio 34, Glenview, and Bensen Art Gallery, Arlington Hts USA.
In St.John's NL Ms Sizova is represented by Newfoundland Canvas and Neville Frame Studio. Ms Sizova was the member of
Oil Painters of America, American Society of Portrait Artists, and local towns Art Leagues of IL, USA in 1995-2003.
In her work Elena is reflecting the beauty of the nature on canvas, using the Ala Prima technique in oil and pastel paintings.
She also works as a portrait artist, capturing the unique individualism of each person.
