Karly Barker is a graphic designer and illustrator originally from Nova Scotia, where she learned some classical animation and a lot of illustration. During her time in Newfoundland while her husband was posted to St. John's, she went on to complete a diploma in Graphic Design from the College of the North Atlantic. As an illustrator who’s main medium is digital painting, she took inspiration from the beautiful landscapes of Newfoundland and incorporates it into her work. Karly and her family have since re-located to Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia.
As an aviation enthusiast, Karly enjoys aircraft spotting and attending Airshows, and of course, illustrating aircraft. Her fav aircraft to photograph are Dash 8 Q 400s and most turboprops. During airshow season, fav aircraft to photograph are The Snowbirds CF 114 Tutors, aerobatic demonstrations, military aircraft and helicopters.
