A sizeable iceberg was grounded at the opening of the gut area of Quidi Vidi for almost a week. I took the opportunity this morning just after sunrise to capture the surreal scene unfolding. There was heavy rainfall the night before and two ducks flew in and relaxing in the rain puddle right when I was setting up for this picture. With the icebergs in place, our historic magical Quidi Vidi neighbourhood in St. John's never looks better.
