The cornerstone of St. Patrick's was laid in 1855, but dew to financing troubles along with labour shortages the work did not officially began until 9 years later in, 1864 . After running into other issues St. Patrick's never got finished until two and a half decades later, in 1881. To this day the church still stands in all it's architectural beauty.
